Toyo Proxes T1-R
Ooooh, it's been such a long time!
Does anyone here run Toyo Proxes T1-R? If so, are they any good and what sizes have you got?
Following the tech FAQ, it seems like I need
Front 205/55/ R16
Rear 245/45/ R16
...which from mytyres come out as:
PROXES T1-R 205/55 ZR16 91W Rim-protection -

Fletch just posted up in Dreamers tyre thread saying that he rates them.
Apparently they're ideal for the pizza run...

[QUOTE=Fletch,Apr 11 2005, 11:43 AM]I may as well put it on this thread... As good as any.
I was very impressed with how the new Toyo Proxies T1-R performed at the WET Pinkfest Meet at the weekend.
Stuck well when needed, any "loose backend action" was nicely telegraphed and easily controlled.

I was looking at getting some of these but they guy I get my tyres from couldn't get them in stock at the time. Apparently they are really good but can be tricky to get hold of. I am now running Continentals AVS (all weather) in the same size as you specified in the original post as these are supposed to be a good alternative. They have made a massive difference in my car so I would recommend these if you are looking for something similar but a bit more hard wearing.

( PS, you might want to edit the title to say "T1-R". Might help attract the right attention. )
