You're right - I'll swap a towing eye and extension for a Silverstone rear towing eye cover!

I wouldn't bother.

I'd install one of the racing type aftermarket ones at each end.

My stock one snapped off and the car rolled away and nearly killed me.
I'm not risking that again...

I lost mine during my recent trip to the Lake District!

Collected a replacement (in Nurburgring Blue) from my dealer this morning. Cost £9.01.
