"Personhole"

 

A while ago, when referring to the S2000 and torque, someone wisely said :

"If you need to pull a caravan, you'll need a different car.
If you want great fun and handling, buy an S2000".

 

Which is why my other half has just had to sell her beloved MX-5 to get a diesel Passat (to pull a horse-trailer) meaning I could get a 2-seater.......

Mike Clements article is very comprehensive (9 pages). I read it on the way to work this morning.

His conclusions: "Power tells you what an engine can do"
A high reving light engine is what you need for fast acceleration.."because smaller, high revving engines have inherently greater power to weight ratios."

Does anyone know of a car with an engine that has these characteristics?
