Here you go...

[I]Honda - S2000
[May 01 2002]

One look at the revamped Honda S2000 tells me nothing. A really big squint this time. Hmm, the headlights are subtly different. A bit of chrome going on. It also looks like the rear lights have a thin chrome surround that I don

Magazines try so hard to please their advertisers these days that I try to ignore the drivel written in a road test unless it's an 'unofficial' road test like the recent one about the new Jag in Autocar. It seems that the only time they can write controversial things is when they can cover their backs by saying that a) it's an unofficial road test and b) the manufacturer promises to sort it out before it goes on sale.

Of course if they ever road test a Zonda convertible I'll read whatever POS they write about it

hi Nigel,

thanks for getting in touch. The S2000 wasn't included in our awards this year because the contenders were limited to cars that had something significantly new about them (partially true of the S2000 - we did run a small first steer early in the year) but mostly because the eclectic selection of other contenders were so strong

if it's of any help, the S2000 remains the favourite two-seater roadster for a couple of us, although the facelifted Boxster's fab too

Can't believe you actually wrote to Top Gear to find out.

Anyway, I'm right, because it's my thread, and if you don't agree I'm going home and taking me ball with me.
