figured that if you needed to drive with roof up could probably get it on back shelf but didn't try (if boot was full in case someone is a smart ass )
Give it a go

I doubt it - never tried! Thinking of rigging some sort of holder for underside of boot lid!
Whilst I have not tried I suspect the hood cover is too wide and in any case its bulk would impinge on luggage space.

When I bought mine I tried the tonneau and would it fit ?? Would it hell !! left it in the boot (my car was 2 when I bought it in march and the cover had obviously never been used) and tried it again this month and POP ! no worries ! went straight on, but the back lugs don't go under the back at all.
I've put it on several times now and each time they get a little closer and each time the cover is just easier in general. Love it.
My roof wouldn't go all the way down when I bought it either so I always used the push bar at roof half down technique and it never failed
I think my cars roof problem was either due to lack of use and/or the temperature back in march, it works every single time now without fail

Have tried several times to store cover behind seats when hood up, but no way will it thread either behind the seat backs or through the middle over the top of the perspex reflector.

When your roof is half folded, there's a bar over your head you can push back (which would have been pulled back by the elastic when the roof was younger). This'll let it fold all the way hopefully.
