Personally I hate the look with the cover on, reminds me of old Rover 200 cabrio's for some reason. It also spoils the side profile of the car.

I dont use mine (in fact its for sale) but I do make sure I give the back a going over with the air compressor just so the dust situation dosent build up and I lube the mechinism at the start and end of summer.

Mine is a '99 AP1 50k miles and no roof problems.

impossible to use in the tropics - the sun is too hot, so most top down trips last less than 1 hour.

Hey Trin, hows the polishing?

Not quite got my head around why someone would have a convertible in the tropics. Even in the UK it can get too hot. You guys must be made of asbestos 50% of the time it is dry in the UK though so we do get to play although in a mild climate. Problem is the T cover seems to encourage wet weather, bit like planning a BBQ in the UK.

Put mine on yesterday afternoon for a quick ride out. Beautiful sunny day when we set out. 10 miles up the road we had a big fight trying to get the thing off and the roof up as the heavens were about to open!!!

Think I'll save it for a proper sunny day next time!!

Did they come as standard? If so, where can I find it, or how much are they? I have a second hand 01 plate.

p.s. it's not in the secret compartment - so don't even try that one!

I'm pretty sure every car came with one as standard. They would've been in the boot.

On eBay they're going for about
