Garmins cannot be pirated.
Trust me, I know
They are serialised and hardcoded. Very strong security.

Tomtom Go 500 has the main European routes, Go 700 has all the European routes. Neither is released yet. As Go 300 has been released (Rachels just bought it) and 700/500 havent I guess they are having a few problems with the maps.
Cider there is aslo and option to download maps straight onto your gGo 300 using blueteeth and a mobile. Have you checked this out? Mind you it would be a painfully slow download.
On the original subject; the maps are definately more up to date and can be updated again via a mobile, full poscodes are accepted and, my favourite "Avoid Motorways". The traffic option seems okay but I have buggered the 1 month trial on that so, watch this space.
