Funny you should mention the Ka! On my way back from somewhere on Saturday, I humoured my sister and found myself in the Ford dealership looking at the Street Ka. There was a crowd of about 7 people looking at it and the salesman seeing a young woman sitting in the drivers seat with a huge grin on her face, wandered across saying "it suits you" as he launced into his sales pitch. He got to the bit about the roof taking 30 seconds to fold down, so my sister said "go on then lets see a demo" It then got a bit weird, he flatly refused to lower the roof because it was their only car they had available I pressed him a bit further and he revealed that the sales manager had told him not to lower it because if it was continually up and down then a crease would develop where it folds. I tried a bit of gentle pursuasion, saying that he had at least 3 potential customers in the crowd of 7 people, but he wasn't having it so I said "it sounds like some kind of design flaw to me" at which point people started nodding in agreement and wandered away looking a bit miffed. I also pointed out to him that his precious display model had a small ding on the door He was quite a nice guy and I chatted to him about cars for a bit while my sister had a look round, he did seem to have zero interest in cars though.

Eventually I realised that Kylie was unlikely to show so I left.

The only other Ka incident I've had was when I was driving a TVR Chimera one day and one tried to race me. It was the only car that had tried all day and I think the driver just didn't know what I was driving. I murdered it of course, it was a bit like a bulldog that had got hold of a fluffy bunny rabbit by the scruff of the neck and shaken it to death.

Oh yeah, saw a red NSX across the road from the Ford dealership parked in Derby County Football ground, managed to persuade the car park attendant to let me sneak into the players cars park so I could have a look. Those things are low

And you resisted the temptation to say that the S2000's could bet lowered AND raised almost 3 times in the space of 30 seconds?

you`re not surprised though.....you shouldn`t be.

Those StreetKa`s....a topdown roadster, 0-60 in over 12. That`ll sell.....crazy thing is it will. It`ll turn into the ULTIMATE trainee hairdresser car. The UK will be flooded with them.

EVIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLL

A mini TT for the masses with all that Ford quality.......oh dear. 4 years time, the blue rinse brigade will be the blue smoke brigade.

I saw VBH reviewing one on 5th gear last night. She politelty intimated that it is a poseur's car. It's not too cheap either, as aircon & leather(?) seats, & other options push the cost up. For the money I'd rather go MX-5.

or even an MR2 Roadster, in that bracket. I had one and they were WELDED to the floor. Unless it snowed then all the welds went mental.

Ford+roadster...I just keep seeing those old white Escort cabs with `ragtop` detailing down the sides.....

Don`t do it Ford...it`ll go nasty.

I had a great tussle with a CTR on the M11. I was doing about 70 in the middle lane when suddenly a suilver XCTR whizzed away in the fast lane doing over 100! Instinct took over - dropped to third and caught up in no time. He was really friendly - he moved over to the middle lane and we took off from 100 all the way up to 147! This was all top down! Oh and I managed to put about 6/7 car lengths on him! 6th gear VTEC is great!
