Default Toda flywheel experiences?

Does anyone have any experiences with the Toda lightened flywheel and if so, what clutch disc are you using with it?

Thanks in advance

I think you have to ask yourself 'why' when looking at getting one.

I cannot see how it would improve the car for 99.99% of the time you are driving it.

Unfortunately I cannot offer any guidance on experiences, but I do think it would be a waste of money IMO.

Stick to OEM or Exedy when it comes to clutches...you won't regret it

That'll be why they're both good then!

I'm just thinking about it because the oem flywheel is 7.7kg (inertia of 0.79kg) and the Toda is 3.8kg (inertia of 0.35kg) so with that weight and intertia difference there must be some kind of advantage.

plus, when I'm getting a new clutch fitted I might aswel look into lightened flywheels a bit (even if I don't end up getting one)

I had a lighter flywheel on my b16 crx and it changed it completely, from a sluggish feeling slow revving engine to a agile nimble little rocket... makes it feel much more like a motorbike engine basically

I then bought the s2000 and the 1st thing I noticed is how slow it climbs the revs!

When I come to replacing the clutch I'll definitely stick a lighter one in

I had one in my old Integra, made the engine more responsive and faster through the gears. It was matched with a full face exedy and uprated pressure plate. Well worth doing IMO

I have run Fidanza lightened flywheels and exedy clutch combos on all my Hondas for years, never fails to impress!

Get em!

I agree with loftust before you jump in, the are definitely pro's and con's to a lightened flywheel to think about - i bet honda got the balance about right 'overall'.

There are only cons if you are 50 years old. It might make hillstarts slightly more difficult? Boohoo, your car feels/is faster as a result.

I had the lightest possible flywheel in my ITR powered Jordan with an OEM ITR clutch and it was amazing. Revved so fast.
