Default Timing Chain Tensioner

Best place to buy a new tensioner? Or exchange for a shotblasted one?

Depends what you want.
As a temp fix (Longer term for some) clean it up yourself with some wet/dry.
For more ££, get one from Tegiwa or buy a Billman one. Many thread on this, do a litte search!
For ££££ get a uprated one from Ballade in the states. Again, a quick search will give a lot of results!

I should imagine through having a few of them fail and being in the UK the hassle when they did so he changed to a Ballade one and had no further trouble.
