Tie down points
I will be starting my adventure down to JAE shortly and this envolves a 14 hour ferry journey off the isle comming up for this time of year it's likely to be rough so the crew will want to secure the cars on the car deck, now from previous experience these heathens just hook the metal clip from a ratchet strap on to a spoke in your wheels and seize it up
My question is where on the car would be suitable to secure it from?
Cheers for any repies Richard

Tow eyes?
You could always get some strops which fasten around the wheel itself.
Might also be worth finding out if they have these available, and ask them to use them instead.

I have seen straps placed over the top of the tyres and the hook placed into the floor beneath the car in purpose "dents" then tightened. May not be on the same ferry type, but should be effective. Or around the wheel as per low loaders and tightened.
Just make sure they avoid the brake lines being captured when placing straps around the wheels.

They'll be ok for pulling the car but that's about it
Tyre straps are the way to go
