Default Threaded hole in cam cover

I'm going to fit this cover to Tommys car, as I am having his old one to use for my breather cover set up.

On coming to fit the cover I initially came across a few problems. First being the holes were all bunged up with paint so the screws wouldn't thread in...I have retapped these now so they are silky and new

But then I noticed it also has a threaded hole instead of a push fit bung for the PCV? What do I do? What year car is this off?

i have a spare one of those that came off my 06 engine that runs fly by wire, that engine runs a threaded breather connection and not a push fit one,

you must have a 99-06 plate car yh?

if you phone up honda can order one of item 8 & 9 to allow you to fit your breather pipe so not a real drama mate

hope that helps dude

Check the sensors on the rear of the cover fit without fouling the rockers too

IIRC, they are in a different position for certain MYs.

MY06+ DBW cars only have one TDC sensor on the cam cover.

Non-DBW cars have two TDC sensors.

The cam covers are not interchangeable.

What MY is the rocker cover from? What is the MY that it is getting fitted to?

It looks like your shiny one is pre-DBW, but worth checking

It has 2 sensor holes. This is fine. And the sensors are in the correct location. The only thing different was the threaded PCV.

Thanks though guys. It going on a 2001 car. Not sure what its off. Maybe Tommy will chime in when he wakes up lol

The threaded PCV appeared on MY04 S2000s.

12310-PCX-000 two sensor, push in PCV, 99-03

12310-PCX-010 two sensor, screw in PCV, 04-05

12310-PCX-020 one sensor, screw in PCV, 06-09 (DBW)
