thread size of oil cap? lost mine :(
I filled up my car with some oil this morning and have dropped the oil cap down by the bloody hot manifold D'OH... im letting the car cool down in the car park as we speak but would like to know the thread size of the cap so i can order one from cafco or honda etc. The annoying thing is I bought a mugen cap for a tenner off ebay last week it should arrive anyday now...
Any help would be great

Can't help with your question I'm afraid - but you do know that you've bought a Mugen-STYLE cap, don't you......? No idea how it measures up the real thing, but it's a knock off so don't get your hopes up.

Yeah i own two honda's so i'll prob put the mugen cap on the CRX if it looks naff not to mention give the guy bad feedback as im pretty sure he advertised it as an original. scammers!
I did indeed pour cold oil in a hot engine, only 100ml or so if that makes any difference, i seem to get a strange smell everytime i hit VTEC so my guessing is thats its low on oil, i'll check it before i leave work today for sure. in fact hold on its lunchtime... i'll go check it out now...

WTF were you putting oil into a HOT engine?
One cannot get an accurate reading unless it has been standing for at least 1/2 hour, preferably much longer.

Just go along to your loal Honda dealer and ask for a new 710 cap.
You'll be fine.
