dear zero, (paul)
here you go again, dont you talk a load of cr*p.
my wheels get cleaned at least once a waak and have had a treatment on them supplied by and applied by honda.
all four of my wheels have pitting and corrosion on them.
this is a safety aspect as well as a condition/look aspect. honda know it is a safety problem which is why they change them as well as a corrosion warranty one.
now think of something sensible to write.

thats bollocks. I have an 03, 10 months old and I clean my wheels 1-2 times per week without fail. I also polish them once a month. My front wheels are beginning to pit near the spokes already. They are cheap wheels, it is nothing to do with cleaning them, although I would imagine if I cleaned them after EVERY journey the pitting may have been delayed.

Mmmmmmm, the shoe analogy is a little out.
The tyres are the shoe and the wheel the foot, the shoe wears, the tyre wears, you replace. One should not expect the foot to become corroded and pitted, and I know for a fact some people never wash their feet properly!

thing is mine have no corrosion and no pitting so I am just speaking from my own eperience...surely all alloys will corrode to a certain extent

Maybe my use is unusually gentle?
