Thanks for the input everyone, especially the comments re the hardtop. Very much food for thought.

Glad I didn't buy the MCB (did come close....) & looking forward to catch up with some of you on Tuesday (even if the current company car has to hide...god knows wat got into me choosing that thing!)

Is there a 'history' anywhere showing what was in each model year? and what to look out for/what goes wrong.

Here is the FAQ thread and has a lot of useful bits in it.

But the general rules of thumb we can all tell you about tomorrow if you want.

NOW FOR THE BAD NEWS.............

You won't be able to hide the car I'm afraid, the car park is pretty open and we often walk around to look at each others toys. Don't worry tho Jo will be in a BMW.

Well I had exactly the same thing.
The other half agreed to let me swap the S for a newer one if I bought a GT.
I have absolutley no intention of putting it on though

The weird thing is peole expect to get more than a
