I agree with Jo, it would be a shame to have the hardtop in the winter and miss out on those gorgoeus crispy days. The heater is more than up to keeping you warm without thermals - trust me I commute 80miles a day in mine often with the roof down even in the winter.

I had an Elise once and the hardtop was pretty essential for winter use, but in all honesty the S2000 is fine without. I'm on my 2nd S2000 and when I bought my current S NOT having a hardtop was a criterion! Didn't want the clutter, and if I'd found a good one with I would have sold it anyway.

aren't they black, black/red or red?

I always liked the combo - just the seats and carpets are red, so not too OTT

Yep, the original cars had lovely red door panels, the 02 went for boring black ones
