Well.

First up I wanted it all and considered the Amuse. However, I was concerned to hear in the Library and on the account of some owners that its not that much different to stock in terms of noise. Certainly not night and day different. Then there is the price of it - for that kind of money I'd want noticeable extra power but you just won't get it.

So that got me thinking of the cheaper exhausts and I've been caught in the HKS vs Invidia battle ever since.

They both cost around the same, both look great in their own way and both sound great but the Invidia is too loud for some. Worryingly if you spend long enough searching though you will find enough HKS owners willing to admit that they felt the unit robbed a few ponnies from their engine and this has put me off the most. The Invidia is lighter than stock and I've yet to find anyone that feels its lost them power. I've heard one at a meet and it sounded amazing and isn't that loud IMHO (having had a decat scooby!). That said I've yet to hear it from in the car with the roof down under load.

So to answer your question in a long way I'm thinking of going for a brand new (with blue tips) invidia with the added bonus that the silencers are there if I'm going on a journey where I'd prefer a little peace and quiet. I also believe the test pipe with the Invidia vastly reduces the drone.

I just need confirmation from owners that they feel they haven't lost power. I can handle having the same power but paying money to loose power would p*ss me off no end.

A secondhand T1-R if you prefer performance over aesthetics

You'll be wanting the carbonfibre single exhaust cap currently being developed for a US-led GB then

Group Buy

Eh, you appear to have linked to a carbon wing group buy! My issue isn't with the hole that's left but rather with the fact the rear of the car only has one exhaust outlet when its been designed with two. In my mind an s2000 without two exhaust outlets just looks odd I'd buy it in an instant if you could get a lightweight fake for the otherside that matched the real backbox.
