very sad story 
quite relevant to me given my impending tests
one dealer did use the expression:
"we'll take you out in it" (referring to a 355 FWIW)
no reply when I said I would be driving too, so that will be confirmed before I go back
they can't seriously expect someone to buy a car like a TVR (or any other car like it) without a test drive surely?
subject to a few questions and possible background checks, what can be done?
I guess it's an occupational hazard
