Test drive on Saturday!
Hey guys,
Just thought I should say that I have a test drive booked with my local Honda dealership this weekend, quite excited about driving one of these for the first time! I'm a little disapointed that a salesman needs to come out with me though.
Is there anything I should know? I've driven a Civic Type-R a few years ago and enjoyed that but unfortunately couldn't justify buying one at the time due to work arrangements.
Not looking to buy a new one at the moment, ideally an 04 GT for no more than

Drive it like you stole it!
The Honda salesman that came out with me on my test drive was thrilled that I was prepared to give it full beans and chuck it round corners .... even though I didn't buy new from them I bought from another dealer, the same salesman still always comes up to me and chats about my car when he sees me. Don't be afraid of trying it out fully, and as ever (especially as it's not your car) drive within your limits. Oh and you will quickly realise it is rear wheel drive

James, it's fairly critical that you give the car a long run out IMO.
I think a lot of people who aren't used to VTEC go away disappointed - but it's not until you get used to really working the gearbox that you realise they are a rapid car.
Hopefully the salesman knows how to drive it and will give you a good intro.

I've not driven a rear wheel drive car for a while, last ones were an MR2 (Mk1) and Elise, both fantastic fun.
Sure I'll be back with my findings after the test drive!
