Technical Power Question
Quote me if i am wrong, maximum power out put is obtained at 8300 rpm, so should we change gear at 8300 or at the 9000 red line

well it's a bit of this and a bit of that...
changing at 9000 simply puts you further into the power band for the next gear
revving between 8300-9000 still gives u acceleration, but at the max power of ~240bhp
-plus- it's an unwritten law that all gear changes should be on or around 9000-9200 rpm

Optimum change up point depends on the gear ratios. It's not just about peak power it's about the revs you will have when you select the higher gear.
Generally you need to change up between the torque peak and the power peak for max performance.

Can you be accerating after peak power? Certainly if it takes X hp to reach the current speed, x-1 hp must mean you are slowing down?
maybe you mean that the rate of acceleration drops..
