Neil,

Great bits of advice and help.

Just one thing, the link to the Alarm manual seems to be offline, could you please post a new link to the pdf?

By the way, just had my immobiliser replaced, pain in the a se, the dealer took in 2 large fobs, and replaced them with 1 small one.

The small one is better (obviously smaller) but don't have a second, is this correct, or should I have been given a 2nd?

Sun's out, roof's down (sorry gone smile happy)

I'm looking at the link now, thanks for the heads up!

You should have two key fobs, what happens if you drop one? Go back to your dealer and play hell

RE: bench tested VTEC

Unless migzy is popping up to sunny East Anglia, then it looks like a lot of the dealers
say that, because the S2k is bench-tested, you can push it as soon as you like.

I asked the same question about running in the new MY04 2k of John Banks Bury, and the salesperson said exactly the same: the bench testing means it's okay to VTEC from the word go.

Is it worth putting a word or two in the tech FAQ? or should we just let people RTFM?

The manual says run it in for 1000kms. At least it does in mine (MY00)

And the tech faq's first paragraph is about running the car in.

Yep, now that I have a manual I can see that it says to run in for 1000km or 600 miles (which is only 960km - so I'm sticking to miles )
Mine MY03 (Silly, so prolly a MY02).
