TCT sandblasting service
Just wondering if anyone is offering a sandblasting service for the TCT any more?
Or can someone please give me some direction using sandpaper?
Thanks guys

EDIT:... ah, i see Hertforshire. I used my Dremel and so far over a week later, its quiet and did the trick. You just need some medium coarse sandpaper, sand down the worm gear (not upwards) and give it a rub inside the piston. Sandblasting is going to be more effective, and £110 will get you a mini kit with compressor included and alu nitrate granules.
If mine re-appears (chain rattle on the guides), I will be getting the sandblast kit and offering the service. Hopefully that won't be for at least another year though, unless Lofty returns from the high seas and offers to do.
Do what you can to remove the sheen on the worm gear, it needs to be a little rougher to work better

Thanks for the info, it must of been your post I was reading about this. When you say sand down the worm gear (not upwards) I take it you mean sand following the thread round? Bit of 1500 grit should do the trick or a bit more corse?

Yep, perfectly fine. It trickier to get even using a dremel with circular disc attachment (which is what I did). When I have a spare £100 floating around, I'll sort one out. It seems that its a yearly occurance for some this chain rattle
