TCT replacement - which tools?
i'm needing to change the O-rings on the TCT and i've seen conflicting info on the tools i need.
looks like a bolt and the locking pin are the only 'special tools' required, yet some posts on here have no mention of the locking pin.
maybe alternative DIY tools; locking pin can be substituted by a paperclip, or the rod from a rivet?
can anyone clarify the procedure; maybe one of the guys at the recent DIY day since it'll still be fresh in your mind?

I used a large paper clip cut down to the right length. Didn't need the bolt just wound it back in with my hands.
Other than that a 10mm socket (or maybe 12) but I assume you have that. Will take you about 10 mins.

sounds like the bolt 'pulls' the TCT pin so you can then insert the locking pin. aslong as the pin is in the hole, then the bolt is redunant?

someone claims is nigh on impossible to loose anything in the engine, just dont turn the TCT so pin is pointing down.
...out it comes!!!

job done!
the right size bolt would definately of been better, but i used one of the threaded adaptors from my rivnut kit to screw down the adjustment pin.
locking pin was a DIY one; used about 1" off the end of a spring coil. one of those slightly-larger-than-normal paperclips would of also done.
hopefully my oil leak is now fixed; 2x new O-rings and some silicon sealer on the triangular o-ring on the cover plate since i didnt purchase this one.
