I love the Supra and would have one providing it was unmolested and a manual car

sadly I don't think such cars exist

Got to say as an ex S3 owner that steering feel is actually the worst feature of the S3, I'm sure Dreamer will agree. The steering is very heavy but with no feeling at all. You really can't feel the wheels.

I think Audi are good at not doing the Jap light steering feel, but I think they go a little OTT with it.

Audi and sterring feel are mutually exclusive, and have been since the original Quattro

I seem to think it was 1.06 or 1.09
Track Challenge recorded 1.15G on the Ring:

Bugger...... I've just noticed the times for the Megane Sport..... it lapped the Ring and Hockenheim a tiny bit faster than the S!!!!!

At the time I thought the S3 was fine, but given most of my driving experience was a 316, a Civic 1.6SE and a van I can be excused !!!!

With hindsight it's pretty numb, you can't really feel much, torque is still cool though

Best quote yet

Nevertheless. S2K is def fun on track, me personally, I spend 99% of my time driving on public roads, so even if the S2K was a better track car than the supra....who cares, its boring 99% of the time.
That's strange because whenever I'm out in the S I've got this ridiculous sh1t eating grin plastered across my face. Maybe I just like the boring life too much.

I like Supras, without big kits on etc but having come up against 2 on the road, I was abit disapointed.

1st one is a local car to me, twin turbo auto, has a dump valve and exhaust but dont think its running more boost, I was in my old civic vti, 160 bhp, stripped out, weighed 900kg, and from 3rd to flat out it couldnt get past me, if the road was longer maybe, but still!?

2nd one, I was in the S, friend of a friend has JDM twin turbo manual, which I thought was standard power, 2nd gear upto 5th there was nothing in it. Turns out his car is suposed to be nearly 400hp, having just been to Abbey,a few wks later, he came up to me and asked what I had done to the S, think he was suprised its only got an intake.

I still cant weigh up why it didnt drive past me, I posted on the street encounters forum, to see what other peeps thoughts were, but I'm still non the wiser.

Oh come on. If we all owned supras we could do this to them....

I have to admit though I have always liked the look of them but have never driven so unlike those on the supra forum I won't comment on the drive of a car I've never even sat in.

I will

I think they are horrible

And usually driven by a certain section of the community (loose term)

which is great, because, like driving with your front fogs on, it provides a great early warning system

btw - I haven't read anything on their board; this is just my opinion of those Supras

same sort of stuff that people post about Beemer drivers
