its just the natural order of things isnt it. As sports cars depreciate in value they become affordable second hand, and the chavs move up the chain. In two or three years time all those supra owners will be buying S2000's and posting on here about "911's not being all they are cracked up to be".

tedious though.

I'm not gonna post, but the first thing I read was about the twitchiness - well errr yeah it's twitchy so you have to be subtle and controlled about your driver controls....... quote "it fishtails when you bring it back in" - overcorrecting !?

Radio access is via the driver dash controls, not across the gearstick !!!

Engine start button activates the starter - well doesn't turning the key further in a normal car also tweak the starter

And yeah, how is a Supra a supercar? Last night in the pub we were discussing supercars at a meet, we were discussing Nobles (not), F430 (yep), Lambo's, Aerial Atoms (not!) and their ilk - not supra's or s2k 's !

You could have said the MkIV Supra was in the supercar league, when it was a new car, but not now.

Just looked up the specs:

S2000 lateral G 0.90
Supra lateral G 0.98
I'm sure them figures are wrong!

Thought so.

I seem to think it was 1.06 or 1.09

Forgive my stupidity but does a lateral g figure give an idea of handling prowess?

I would have thought you can get lots of g by turning a wheel very very sharply and spinning in any car?

I am not technical so this may be crap but just my opinion.

It doesn't, all it does is tell you how sticky your tyres are. We're just pi$$ed at them quoting dodgy data.
Having said that, I'm quite sure they'll be able to back it up. Depends on the tyres, temps, driver, surface, magazine, etc, etc.....

I didn't find too many of their comments out of place, and by and large they acknowledged that it looks good and does what it says on the tin.

Of course it's not going to have the oomph of some of their turbocharged wagons, and as for quoting lateral g's as an indicator of handling ability ...

Finally, their comment about radio controls related to the fact that access to the head unit is obstructed by the gear lever (which it is). The tester obviously hadn't spotted the dash controls or was disappointed because he wouldn't be able to watch his chav graphical LCD HU display whilst listening to the Prodigy ...

Oh yes ... can't say I've ever tried pressing the starter button again once the engine's already running. Think they were expecting the button to cut once running ...
