Default Suppliers of Mugen Bits

For a good few weeks I've been reading hostorical posts about exhausts etc etc.

The more I read the more I'm convinced that I'll end up with a Mugen exhaust. but I'm also working to a budget and want to keep costs down. (failing so far at that last point).

From what I've seen some of you have bought from the US, some from the UK and some from Asia.

With the

Boab01, You know what a picky sod I can be! I'll go a bit extra for the right one but I still want the keanest price. Have been really tempted by others such as the TODA and HKS - including yours but everything I've read here and elsewhere points me towards Mugen.

Mark, Interesting site, have you used them? do you always get stung by customs, recently bought some bicycle parts from Asia and was pleasantly surprised when they arrived without extra charges.

Also this raises an issue with part numbers. King and the Mugen web sites don't tie up. a UK dealer has quoted me on:
18000-XGS-K4S0 S2000 MUGEN SPORTS EXHAUST SYSTEM :

King have it listed as:
18000-XGS-K2S0

I don't want to find myself with the wrong one.

I have yes, and they were good.

Its pot luck on the customs but anything big tends to get picked up

I would also look on www.whifbitz.co.uk as I know they can get Mugen stuff. Im sure there is someone on here who can get hold of Mugen too...

You shouldn't go wrong with King, and you can always ring them to discuss.

I have recently bought a Mugen CAI and Carbon Fibre front bumper / underbody kit from Kingmotorsports in the US. The CAI was shipped to France and I had to pay around 15% purchase price to customs, the bumper kit came to the UK, I collected from DHL near Heathrow to save on shipping ($330 US to get it that far) - Customs did not charge this time. With the dollar rate so good I feel I got a good price especially for the quality of the mugen parts. I did look at the Mugen site with a view to ordering from Japan but it was not straightforward - perhaps when the English version is up and running it will be easier. I liked being able to call Kings and make sure you were getting what you wanted.

Am having the front-end fitted this week - will post some pics once done.

I have just paid a DHL customs bill that was sent to me 15months after I imported some parts.
