My brother and I clubbed together and bought Dad a supercars driving day for Christmas. Of course, both being enthusiastic drivers ourselves, we had to go along with him and take part too
So, we went along yesterday to Prestwold Hall, near Loughborough, to get our

Very good write-up Mark Sod the performance - does the Noble come with a clock ? I think that this thread belongs in the serious section, as it's a very good read / good photos. Perhaps our bird man will oblige ? Looks like the weather was good as well

I know why they chose the red S as a track car - fastest colour of course - but it does look a little unloved compared to the supercars. Looks like it needs a zaino session.

Didn't spot a clock in the Noble, Chris - but then I was a bit excited and not really looking at the interior detail That said, it does have a very neat little Sony stereo - one of those that has a front piece which pops out and then rotates through 180 degrees to access the controls. There was a clock on that.
The weather forecast in the week running up to it had been showery with the possibility of thunderstorms - the prospect of sliding a Diablo and a Viper around in the wet had unsettled me more than a little bit! As it turned out, it was overcast to start but then the sun arrived. It got blisteringly hot inside the Lambo and the Viper. Jenny (who was along to spectate) even managed to catch the sun and so now has a red nose!

I See a silver Noble quite often on the M60 ( usually very slow)
I've looked on the Porsche site but can't see any ref to the 993,996
is the carrera 4 = 993 & the carrera 4s =996?
warren.

Warren, the 993 and 996 are both 911s - just ways of distinguishing the different body styles. The 993 is the older one.
Carrera 2 = 2 wheel drive
Carrera 4 = 4 wheel drive
Carrera 4S = 4 wheel drive with the Turbo bodyshell
Turbo = fast
GT2 = ridiculously fast
