Doesn`t remove the fact that anyone that buys a tdi is a prize weapon........I`ve got a Tdi 130 estate.....
Yup.

Pretty compelling evidence!

Yep I think thats the nail on the head! People think its and MX5 so their TDI can out run it!

At the blurter meet I actually heard a guy as we drove past say to his family

"look at all those MX5s!"

Hmmm I think he must have had his male car genes removed! Even as a kid I had a Rolf Harris I Spy Car book!!

oh well it makes us drivers lives more interesting!

It's to make themselves feel better that their company van, which they're made to feel sooo greatful for, is superior to the desirable sports car that you chose and paid for. Couldn't just get over it.

Carpet-crawling saddo suits!

Bionic hearing or electric 2sk?

Either answer is equally fascinating...

When I had my Subaru people used to move out of the way even if I didn't want to get past, it had a sort of "Moses" effect on traffic on the motorway

Nice! I've actually noticed the "Moses effect" a lot more in the 'S actually... as I do tend to close on people on the motorway rather quickly - they can't get out of my way quick enough! Cheers fella!

I had a battered Metro 3-up in front of me the other day on a dual carriage way though - I came shooting off the roundabout into the outside lane but just backed off a safe distance from them and waited politely behind until they realised what they were doing and moved over (why do people in slow cars come off a roundabout into the outside lane of a DC when there's no-one else in sight?!)....the driver just sat at 40mph giving me a constant evil stare in the rear-view mirror until I was forced to undertake! Muppet.

When I'm driving the girlfriend's old 1.1 Fiesta I'm always keen to get out of people's way - I know when I'm going to be holding people up!

I think most people just don't have a clue about what's happening behind them - they see a flash car suddenly appear in their mirrors and automatically go on the defensive.
