strange noise when selecting reverse
I have been driving the car more regularly and have noticed a strange noise when selecting reverse
this is how I have reproduced the problem
Allow the revs to drop to idle and then engage reverse, as you lift up the clutch to get to the biting point and increase the revs slightly (1500 revs) it sounds like someone is shaking a can of ball bearings and you can exagerate it by depressing and then lifting the clutch back up to the biting point - the noise seems to come towards the rear of the car
If you engage the clutch to the biting point but don't touch the accelerator the noise is not present
No such noise is ever present in any of the forward gears
My question is has anyone experienced this themselves - I was used to the odd noise in the gearbox with the M3 because I had read that the Getrag six speed used in the M was known for being noisy and wondered if the Honda 'box was similar
I am booking the car in for it's service in January but wonder if I should get this looked at sooner
any advice would be appreciated

ah now this is interesting as this is the same for me - I have not noticed it when the car has been cold i.e first thing but when parking up after the commute the noise was there - I think I have said in a previous post the odd little noise here and there doesn't unduly bother me as long as my S2000 isn't the only one with 'the noise'
the creaking from the suspension I noticed the other morning has now gone too
