Default Strange blue/white light

Went out today without the owner's manual, and are far from home. A strange blue/white light has appeared on the dashboard between the odometer and fuel guage, just to the left of the full beam sign.

Any ideas what this is? It doesn't look urgent (not red!), and it seems to fade in and out with direct sunglight.

Are we panicking over nothing?

Thanks!

Is it the sunlight reflecting/refracting off the instrument panel glass and the high beam light?

I also sometimes see a blue light on my dash too, its one of those things that never is there when you look at it directly but something the corner of your eye picks up on..

Must be a trick of the light.

Well we phoned the supplying dealer - they had no manuals...

We visited Beaconsfield Honda, who were helpful (it's not an urgent light, it's not red...) but the service part was closed.

Got home - looked in the manual... it's the security system light. It's not on, it's just collecting light.

But why haven't we noticed it before?!

I actually thought I was colour blind to things in the corner of my eye!

Seriously. I always thought that was my eyes detecting the headlamps' green light as blue when I wasn't looking directly at it.
