Tif,
whats this pen thing as I managed to put a two foot scratch on my bumper at the weekend when cleaning the car, bloody stone in the sponge!!!
Im taking the car to a dent devils place this weekend to get rid of the cone damage and I was going to get them to do the scratches at the same time but theyll no doubt want to charge the earth so this stuff could be very interesting.

Jason, I believe these SMART repair guys can be very reasonable, especially if you want a few panels doing at once. Scratches are far harder to DIY touch in than chips, get a price 1st but failing that you can borrow the pen off me.

Yeah, I have a couple of doozies up near the windscreen on the bonnet, god knows how they got there
This Langka stuff just seems to be a cutting type compound isn't it, I bought some from Halfords (for exactly this purpose) and that seems to work really well, I think they just call it a levelling compound but its too cold and wet to go to the shed to check
The stuff basically smooths out the touch-up paint, but you still have to make sure you put the paint on well, on bigger chips this is quite tricky, as I have found, but after taking it all off again (with the levelling compound) and trying again mine isn't too bad.
