Stone chips, now it's the Windscreen !!
Driving home one night last week and heard the dreaded 'thwack' of a stone (or perhaps a rock ) hitting the screen, thought I had got away with it but soon discovered a chip/crack just below the drivers line of sight
Had this before on a previous car and got Autoglass to repair it, but it was by no means a case of invisible mending (did not get any worse, but the chip was still clearly visible)
Anyone had this done on their S, can you recommend any good repairers ?

That's very bad luck indeed!
I had exactly the same only 10 miles from home last November just before the day I put the S away for the winter. I was following an aggregate tipper truck and they have done screens before for me.
My insurance sent out the Autoglass man who made an invisible repair with the fluid. I have to search to find the injury now.
He said that the general rule of thumb is, if the cracking coming off the main impact spot is bigger than a 50 pence piece, then it's a new screen.
I had that last year on my A6, also with Autoglass, and that man also told me the same.
The most important thing for you to ensure if it is a new screen, is that the repairer fits ONLY a genuine Honda screen.

But the Honda screens are crap. I was talking to soneone who'd had a Pilkington put in and it was much better (Brian possibly). Mine's got so much pitting you can barely see through it if you're driving towards the winter sun.
