I found the biggest problem was routing the speaker wires through to the doors.
For the length of cable involved and unless you're running stupid power into the doors, it's fine to just link into the existing stuff. I run my amp speaker cables up to the dash and then join to the OEM wiring. That's 2x180RMS and it's perfectly fine.

Indeed. I've never done this before but I would do everything I could. That extra supervision just helps just incase I get into a pickle.

Any anyone just confirm that it is 6.5 MDF spacers I need?

Thanks.

You want mini spacers, they fit better (perfectly in fact). Also get some Honda accord speaker adapters (they connect the adapter that goes in the standard speakers to aftermarket speakers).

It’s the first time I’ve ever disagreed with Loftust – definitely no point recabling – just piggy-back for a job like this.

The biggest job is doing a tidy job with the amp and setting it up. The doors, with spacers and adapters are doable in 20 mins a side. Sound deadening (if he’s got the sticky stuff) is another 20 mins a side.

They will almost certainly subcontract it out to a local place - see if you can find out who they use - cut out the middle man.

Depends what they want to charge you in the end I guess.
