I don't think there is anything under the steering wheel. If you put your head down in to the driver's side footwell you should be able to see the wiring loom. Once you have the stereo pushed in to it's mounting, there is a little bit of fiddling to get the mic wire out, but then that's it.
I took the A pillar cowl off and there was enough of a gap to then thread the wire through.

Cool, i will give this a go. i saw a excellent picture of someone who mounted their Mic on the top of the steering coloum so i will give that a go later once i can find the stand bit that seems to have gone missing since the move from the old car

Hay just checked that out and it's easy to get to.
I have another question I have the CELCUS installed now with the newer pioneer steering adapter.
Sometimes when I hold the volume the track skips is this normal or is there some extra functions I'm not getting like the modifry.
