Default Starting-up after prolonged lay-up

This weekend I shall starting the S for the first time in several months. In the past I've pulled the plug leads on an engine and turned it over for a few minuted to get the oil circulating - but this isn't so easy in the S.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can easily turn the S engine over without it firing-up?

TIA

Mark

PS Has anyone have the part code for the S battery to hand, as well as an idea of the dealer price?

Put the car in gear and get some friends to push you downhill. ( or uphill if you are cruel )

Why not? Four bolts to take the cover off, then pull the plug leads. Or just pull the connectors out of the coil packs.

pull the fuse for the fuel pump? might be some fuel in the lines/filter but I've usually found the engine won't fire

I bought a battery from the dealer last week.
About £60-£70 iirc and they had one in stock

When mine had been in the garage for 2 months I didn't bother with turning over the engine – everything was fine.

Is it very likely that the engine will be damaged after not being stared for a few months? I will be in the same position in a few weeks time...
