Start light and alarm beep
Afternoon folks.
A couple of little things while they're on my mind. A while ago on the S2000 Talk forum there was the discussion Does your Start button light up? about (predictably) the Start button lighting up when the key is in the ignition. Mine, a 2000/W doesn't light up. Should it, and if so does anyone have experience or suggestions for replacing the bulb?
Secondly is regarding the standard Honda alarm. I recently had my battery replaced and the first time/couple of times (?) I locked and unlocked the car it gave off a loud beeping as well as flashing the indicators. It is no longer doing this. Should it, and if so does anyone know how this 'feature' is enabled and disabled (can see it might be useful for locking or making mechanics in enclosed spaces jump ).
Thanks.

I'm now trying to remember whether the bonnet was still up the first time I tested setting and unsetting the alarm. Hmmmm. Going to find somewhere dark and double-check my start button. Hate to feel I'm missing out

Interesting. Collating the information we have:
2 x MY02 that light
1 x MY03 that lights
1 x MY04 that doesn't
2 x MY00 that don't (presuming that mine doesn't)
A conspiracy! Albeit apparently a fairly random one...
