Default Standing Starts - Best way?

As we all know the S can be sluggish from a standing start, especially if you let the revs drop. What I was wondering is, what is the best way to get the S going? I'm not talking about holding at 6000rpm and dropping the clutch! I love the smell but the cost of tyres and a new clutch puts me off.

Has anyone got any ideas?

4k and side step the clutch. it works and I haven't once smelt the clutch burning which can't be said of my friend driving his golf uphill and having to make a start.
