Just put the cat on, it would be much better (wouldn't be as deep/less penetrating noise). And anyway, unless you drive like a lunatic I doubt you'd damage the cat

I've read in many places that blowers tend to wreck cat's which is why I went down the decat route - is this not the case?

Wow. It shows just how little I know, I just randomly YouTubed an idling F/I S2000 and it was noisy. So I can understand how they can be upset about it coupled with the hard surroundings.

Home is where the heart is and it would be great to come home to a peaceful neighbourhood and eased mind and have a good relationship with your neighbours. Health comes first.

I'll come around with the invidia n1 and test pipe, that'll give them something to moan about

Might be worthwhile considering whale tip's? direct's the exhaust gases downwards, into the ground, which in turn soaks up the sound/resonance.

Worked on a friends DC2 K20A.

Honestly mate, that exhaust is a lot louder than it was when you first put I on. The charger has made it loud but also it has made it a lot more guttural - if you know what I mean? (And not necessarily in a bad way!!)

However, I've lived next door to disgruntled neighbours and believe me, it's horrible and the last thing anyone should want to live with.

Is there no way Dixon could fabricate a set of bungs, similar to the Greddy you had previously? I'm sure if he can make manifolds, he can make bungs?

Saves your wallet and your neighbour's sanity?

Put bungs in? - held by an allen key bolt

When up the road take them out.

Tango - all mods are declared to my insurance and the car is A1 no I have no issues should the plod turn up - but I don't want it to get to that stage.

Andy, you are right about it being louder since the charger went on, as I posted above. Not a bad idea about bungs but again do these simply reduce the noise or also restrict performance at the same time?

Would a HFC make it quieter, but keep the performance?

They will reduce noise and reduce performance, take them out when up the road.
