Default Standard '09 Head Unit

I have a spare '09 head unit which I intend to advertise in classifieds, but I have no idea how much it is worth. Any (sensible) suggestions?

Thanks,
Dave.

am guessing you replaced the standard unit (as opposed to seeking a weight loss programme?!?!). I've dabbled with ICE in the past to the extent of replacement head unit and speaker (not ventured down amps route etc), is chanign the head unit alone going to make any noticeable difference or have you gone the whole hog and changed speakers etc.

Just curious really, what head unit have you gone for (££) and was it worth it? I would worry that some scally will smash the window or rip the roof just to get me £200 head unit out, not to mention the damage to the dash... (a friedn had a super sony head unit that was 'theft proof' as wan not easy to remove from the dash without a special key...sadly for him, the 106gti dashbaord was not as well fixed and they ripper that half out too...

Does the '09 head unit have a direct feed in for an i-pod? this will have a major affect on the price of it. I would be prepared to pay about £50 for it if it had an i-pod connection but wouldnt really be interested in it if it didnt.

Mod comment:

To avoid confusion and complaints, please make no further offers until this is put up for sale in classifieds.

Thanks

why? He's a member and asking a fair question - seeing as you have the rule of you must put a price on a for sale thread

Read the first post - dredd intends to advertise it in the classifieds at some point, so offers are inappropriate at this stage.

As far as I can make out, nobody has made an offer, only a valuation, which I think was the OP's intention.

However, I imagine that £20 is about right. I don't think many would want one as the market must be flush due to upgrading. Unless, as alcollins85 asks:

'Does the '09 head unit have a direct feed in for an i-pod? this will have a major affect on the price of it...'

and those with earlier models might well then be interested.

I read al's comment as a potential offer, so just getting a preventative bit of moderating in before other offers came in and we have to deal with reported posts and so on.

Just trying to keep the thread going to help dredd out really.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

I think Simon's got this one wrong. But apparently I'm so out of touch with everything - I'm convincing myself I'm wrong.

The OP is asking for some help.

Radio units have gone from £20 collected up to £50 delivered

And I think it is a legitimate question.
Someone put up a FS addy for 17" OEM wheels for £400 and something.
Clearly way way below what they are really worth.

Now... should we warn the OP that the market rate is substantially higher... thus providing a club benefit as he has paid his dues.

Or do we STFU ( had to get that in ) and he is on his own and can get screwed.

IMO - The idea here is to find a fair price.

No harm done.

Edit.. Sod's Law, Simon can type quicker than I can.
