Default SRS Reset Procedure DIY

Admins do with that what you wish.

After searching i couldnt find a definitive S2KI guide.

So here one is:

What you need: paperclip.

Disconnect small yellow srs clip from fuse box. The middle yellow connector.

Poke either end of paperclip into the top where the wires enter yellow connector, one end of paperclip in each wire connection.

Turn key in iignition to possition 2.

SRS light will go out, remove paperclip.

When light comeback on reconnect paperclip to connector (be quick!).

SRS light will go back out, remove paperclip.

Wait 2 seconds whilst watching SRS light.

2 SRS light flashes and it should turn off completely.

*see below for 1 flash or 2 flash but SRS stays illuminated.

Turn ignition off, reconnect SRS connector to fuse box.

Start car to double check.

Done.

*1 or 2 flashs and SRS light remains on means you were either too slow or you have a break in the SRS circuit. - check connections.

This took me 15 mintues of trying and retrying my first time round. Persistence is key.

I hope this helps others like myself.

Good to have a UK one, I've done this a couple of times following these guys:
https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/910...t-disable-diy/

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/525...s-light-is-on/

Also a note on if you disconnected the battery (probably did while removing air bags!)

You'll need to let the ECU re-learn the following: Engine Idle Learn Procedure
"Start the car - BUT keep everything OFF, radio - headlights - nothing plugged in the Accessory Outlet, etc. Let the car idle for 5-6 mins (to be safe.) This allows the ECU to LEARN and adjust to the new settings or whatever you have modded, changed, or Whacked."

Thanks to NVMY4N > https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/index.php...&f=22&t=549159

I learnt the hard way, drove off too quickly and had a car that kept cutting out...
