30 years old and only just learnt the benefit of lubrication!!!

How on Earth did I bring him up?

Copper based grease is more heat resistant and has better staying power than Silicon or carbon grease.

It also helps prevent the electrolytic corrosion problems of steel/ally.

Squeaking is also caused by missing/weak anti-chatter springs, which usually fit between one end of the pad & the pad holder.

Also, you do need to run-in the pads, so they become shaped to the disc. You should find it gets better after 50 miles or so.

I've done 300+ since they were fitted, squeaking is a little better now, but not gone. It's seeing the dealer on Tues
