Default Squeaky Brakes

Got new pads all round and front discs and they are squeaking like hell.

I have some coppergrease but dont have a clue what to do with it - it says apply it to the BACK of the brakepad - how the hell will that help squeaking??

If you apply it to the front you will have rather bigger problems.

It lubricates touching parts.

Stops them resonating, rubbing together (Squeak, squeak)
Like an Oil (grease).
Is this making any sense.

^ you see I'm not as daft as I look!

Q - Why do they use copper?

Q - Why grease (it's pronounced "GREEZ") and not oil?

I love quizes.

grease because its less viscous than oil..therefore it wont run off n lasts longer, copper think it has sumthing to do with the diff properties of metals n heat

should know this i was trained to be a mechanic
