Thumbs up Squeaking / whining noise from rear wheel

Drove the car for the first time in 6 days this morning.

Didn't notice anything at first but towards the end of the journey (25 mins) I noticed a whining / squeaking noise coming from the rear driver's side wheel??

It didn't sound like suspension as it the pitch / consistency of the squeak changed with speed.

I'm going to call Crown Honda but any idea in the mean time?

Yeah thanks and you could be right, booked a Honda technician for a drive on Friday but could have gone by then. I'll give the car a bit of a blast home tonight with some nice hard braking and it might sort it out

Drove home last night, roof down, no music and having a good listen - but nothing. When I parked up the rear of the car smelt very hot, hotter than normal and I had been driving pretty conservatively.

This morning though the noise returned, it seems to be there at lower speeds, twisty roads makes it worse, light accelerator use and also when braking at slow speeds all creates the scratchy whining / squeeking noise??

I am booked in to Crown Honda tomorrow lunch time, hopefully Gorge will be there

Any other thoughts because I don't think it is from the car standing for over 6 days now? Warped brake discs maybe?

It's not the brake pad wear indicator is it?

Not too sure it is pad wear cos they were only changed 2 months ago.

I didn't think it was that serious yesterday but on hearing it again this morning when turning, braking, accelerating etc I am now a little more concerned.

I did see the EPS light flicker on the other week but not done it since so there must be something going on

After a drive, put your hand near the suspect rear wheel, if it is significantly warmer than the other side then you have a sticking caliper.
