Squeaking ? brakes
Car has just started to make a sqeuaking sound. I think its coming from front drivers wheel. I suspect it may be a caliper / disc problem.
it occurs when the car is warm on the motorway at approx 70-80. It is not related to engine revs or gear selection.
It has only happened three times but on one occasion if I dabbed the brake pedal with the left foot, it seemed to stop. It's not occured enough to pin down factors that definitely affect it.
I suspect it is either warped rotor, or sticking caliper, but I suppose it could be wheel bearing. It's due for 27000 service and I need to tell them where to look
Does anyone know of a problem that affects the S in this way?

Can you get coppergrease from Hellfrauds?
My drivers front is also squeaking. I had a seized caliper a while back but have had the discs and pads changed since. Is it possible the garage didn't put the shim back on, would this also cause squeeking?
Cheers.

It sounds like the problem I had... its the wear indicators on the Pads telling you to change them! Does the squeaking increase as time goes by and the brake temp rises? And also get worse every drive you do? Don't quote me on it but... given my recent experience, I'd put money on it being ur pads, the service will let you know anyway.
