Had a read now Pip, mine has always whined a bit, oh heck will have ears open now.

Now i wonder, I take it they are all Honda Parts, has any one looked to see if any of those bearings are normal listings in say the RHP handbook and are available from bearing suppliers.

Its just the musings of an old engineer, I know I know OEM ect ect, but some may well be standard bearings by SKF Koyoto bla bla bla,

As i said ramblings of an old idiot, and have been down this road on occasion at work and the OEM will supply cheaper than others in any case, some of the bearings may well be bespoke in any case and not from the standard book and made especially for Honda.

Gear box is back from 3D The garage will be putting it back together very soon

I have been told that the bearings were "SHOT" Makes me hopeful that a cure will have been found

I believe pictures have been taken of some of the process so hopefully if I get time I can do as much of a write up as possible Would be good if I could get the mechanic to do a write up but I think they are very busy (always a good sign)

Can't wait to get my car back

Still looking forward to the end results from this - it's one characteristic the car shouldn't have!

It's fixed, well and truly

I'm sure Pip will do a review once she's back from holiday, and had a chance to sort her life out
