Sh*t a brick is it!? Since when did they decide that?! I'd rather drive around without one at all if thats the case and say it must have fallen off cos its a lesser offence!

Suits has a stick on plate about the size of mine, looks really good actually and was thinking of changing to one myself.
It's not.

The same offence is for failing to display a legal registartion plate.
No plate, or an unapproved plate - same offence

One however is more 'blag-able' than the other I agree.

Thanks for the clarification

Maybe its time to change back to standard then...such a shame as the massive UK plate ruins the look of the front of the car

Thanks...um I have been fined once in the 2 years of ownership. Is this where you tell me you work as a mister policeman?
I've got a 3/4 plate also, - standard font... - had it on about a year, - no fines yet touch wood :s

Been pulled over three times with the plate, but they tend to spend more time looking at the back of the car rather than the front

Thanks, yeah they were taken with a Canon EOS 450D using the standard EFS 18-55mm, f3.5-5.6 IS lens

I just got a fine on the plate but I don't think its justifiable with the risk of 3 points on my license. Are you going to keep yours on?

as I say, i've had no problem with it so far, - touch wood again, - so - yeah!

if a police car is following you they're going to look at your rear number plate, - when the pull you over they still park behind you, - as i say, i've been pulled 3 times since having the plate and none of them have noticed it.

touch wood yet again
