Default Sports CAT.

After reading about de-cat pipe giving slightly more torque, less drone for the HKS/Invida, Weight saving and better throttle response I found a lot of negative comments about putting cats back in at MOT time. So Help here from the Likes of Lurking Lawyer, AquilaEagle, MB, mikey k plus others would a sports cat be any good?

I have Friend that works for http://www.pipercams.co.uk/exhaust/ that said if there was enough interest they would develop a sports cat.

These guy do a lot of work for the like or WRC and touring cars.
They also do CAMS and Manifolds.

So is there any interest or benefits here?

Regards

Stefan

Cant at the moment Vixen. Think Numbers of people intrested may
determine that but will ask.

They would like some details like

1 - What bore size the exhaust section of it should be
2 - What size cat they would like us to use
3 - What CPSI (Cells per Square inch) cat they would like us to use

we can ask for advise if needed.

I recall a thread about replacing a broken stock cat, for which Honda charge a vast amount. Toda have a high flow cat which is a fraction of the cost of the OEM item.

I don't think Toda do a HFC. They do a resonated decat which is often mistaken for a HFC though

Berk Technology do a HFC and there's a long thread on it over on the US board GTS Chris supplies them over here and they cost around

Any links to the Berk HFC mentioned above? I always thought they only did a test pipe for full on decat purposes

I have a brand new Berk High Flow cat for sale if anyone is interested. I haven't had a chance to put it in the for sale section yet.
