Default Spoon Progressive Springs

Im thinking of using Spoon Progressive Springs with the normal type dampers, good idea?
Ive been warned about s2000's being alittle tail happy after being lowered? I want something that will give the car that mean look for the street any ideas of what to use?

Cheers.

Ben I don't know anything about the Spoon ones but I think Chris Type R has some variable rate springs on his car.

I'm not going to say anything other than click on the link in the final line of my sig. The standard dampers are underdamped, particularly on the rear. Using lowering springs is going to make matters worse (although one or two others will tell you otherwise).

However, if it's just looks you are after, lowering springs represent a cheap option. I personally find it an insult to Honda's intent to make a decent sports car.

Chris is right. I have some spoon progressive rate springs. I've not fitted these though - they're still in the loft.

Listen to the bloke who spent half a lifetime ( ) looking into what to do to his suspension, he's speaking a lot of sense.

I'm not going to go into why simply lowering the car is a bad idea, suffice to say if you research very far into the way suspension works and why geometry is so important, you'll either spend a small fortune to get it right, or not bother lowering the car at all.

Does make the car look nicer though

the book! the book in the final line of my sig!!

Unfortunately there were words accompanying the pretty black and white photos in the book, hence the reason it took me so long to have a basic understanding of why lowering springs are a

Shameless photo opportunity:

they feel it too - for instance, compare the the billet machined wishbone mount to the mount on any productionised Jap shock - the Nitrons are in a different league IMO.
