I ran one for a year and did notice the difference. The Vtec crossover was more prenounced and pulled harder top end, though i felt a drop in mid range torque.
Showed exactly that when we put it on the dyno. Pulled circa 195whp on DD rollers with Spoon manifold, N1, TB,injen intake and cooling mods. Even better value if you can pick up a second hand one for

PS - it's better than the Mugen, it actuall uses the knock sensor which is fairly handy!
IIRC the Mugen ECU with the manifold would give ~ 10bhp gain in the midrange whereas the Spoon ECU with the Spoon manifold would give you ~ 10bhp at peak.
The spoon ECU was always more popular with the guys who did a lot of track days.

Cheers guy where can i get the fan switch and thermostat, thing is i have no idea how to fit these items and how involved it is?
Also it really worth it with just a decat and snorkle+airbox mod.
I dont play to change the exhaust possibly the manifold but thats it.
Also is it safe, as its a daily drive.
Thanks guys for your info really appreciate it.

Is it worth it with standard decat / exhaust? Yes IMO, for second ahnd prices anyway.
The standard exhaust seems to flow very well by common consensus, so I wouldn't bother about that. Manifold will be beneficial.
Fan switch and thermostat can be a bit fiddly, so might be worth getting an experienced garage to do that - maybe even Honda. But I would be looking to get them fitted - not much money. Look int eh Under the Hood FAQ - I think there is a guide. Also try the search.
Totally safe - the ECU still has all it's protection! I think one car on here did have an engine failure but you would be hard pushed to blame that on the Spoon ECU.

It is a bit fiddly and you'll end up with coolant running down your sleeves if your under the car.
Much easier to have a garage fit them and its not a long job. I think it cost me
