Spoon ECU
Anyone fitted one? used one? Im looking to use a decat and sort out the induction side and have looked at the ECU as a next step. My understanding is that the SPoon one retains the alarm and lowers the VTEC point a bit.
Ive read that the Mugen ECU weakens the mix a bit as the car seems to run rich ( this was off a US thread)
Any comments welcome

Usually, these ECU are a stripped down version of the stock with a map designed specifically for their kit. If you can afford it get an AEM or the likes and get it set up specifically to your kit; i.e. CAI, Manifold and Exhaust.
I am using the Mugen ECU and its running sweet but then all my kit is Mugen. There is a thread kicking around on the Under the Hood where Ultimate Lurker has used one on a stock car with positive results but for the best you need to use the manufacturers kit.

One guy on the board (was it Roger?) ran a Spoon ECU and his warranty was voided when his engine went bang. Lickermat, stick your VIN number into s2ki so you can list how old youre car is.

Cheers guys , not got my S yet ...in the process of buying one .. ive read a lot on the S2k and realised that the S is a very well setup car. Unlike others there is not much more BHP to be had but there are a few choice mods that can make a real difference.
Looking at all the Header and cat back brands and they are all giving 5-10 for a full system ( I know that T1r claim much more ) but the likes of Mugen , Spoon , computech seem to be around the 5-10 mark. A full zorst does give you more torque which is allways welcome
but gonna cost
